What is the title of the conference this year?

The conference title and theme this year is: “Measurement: How Do We Define Success?”  It will feature keynotes and panels exploring how we should assess the value of what we are doing—as professors, as programs or centers, and as institutions of higher education.


Where and when will the conference be held?

We will hold the conference May 29–31, 2018 at two quintessential Winston-Salem locations: the historic Kimpton Cardinal Hotel and WFU’s new Innovation Quarter.


What time does the conference begin and end, and where can I find the schedule?

The conference check-in will begin around 5:30 pm on May 29, and the conference will conclude around noon on May 31.  The schedule is located under “Itinerary


How do I register, when is the deadline, and is there a registration fee?

There is no registration fee, and you may register by completing the 2018 Conference Registration Form.  We kindly ask you to register as early as possible, but the deadline is May 21, 2018.  ***Registration is now closed.  Please contact bbtcenter@wfu.edu with any questions.***


I registered, but I need to change or cancel.  What do I do?

You may return to the 2018 Conference Registration Form to make changes until May 1.  After that time, or if you need to cancel your registration entirely, please email bbtcenter@wfu.edu.


What is the name of the hotel and what is the address?

The bulk of our conference events will be held at the Kimpton Cardinal Hotel, so it is most convenient for your overnight accommodations.  The address is 401 North Main Street, Winston-Salem, NC 27101.


How do I make my reservation?

The room block is filled.  Please view the “Hotel and Travel” tab on our website for additional information or contact bbtcenter@wfu.edu with any questions.


I intend to drive to Winston-Salem.  What are my parking options?

If you are an overnight guest at the Kimpton Cardinal Hotel, they offer valet parking for $22 per day.  If you are not an overnight guest at the Kimpton Cardinal Hotel, or if you prefer to park yourself, there is a city-managed parking deck just behind the hotel at 4th and Church for $9.00 per day maximum (no in-and-out).


What is the closest airport to Winston-Salem?

Piedmont Triad International Airport in Greensboro (GSO) is the closest airport.  Please look under “Hotel and Travel” for more information about PTI and other airports.


How do I submit my paper or panel concept for consideration?
