Alan Kelly is President of ExxonMobil’s Fuels, Lubricants & Specialties Marketing Company, and is a Vice President for the Corporation.
After graduating from Bristol University (UK) in 1980, Alan joined the Mobil Oil Company in the Retail Marketing Department in London, England. After several assignments in Sales, Marketing, Finance and Planning, he became the UK Retail Network Manager in 1990. Over the next decade, Alan undertook a range of downstream management assignments in Fuels Marketing, Lubricants, Refining & Supply and Planning including postings in Rotterdam, London, Tokyo and Washington DC.
Following the merger of Exxon and Mobil, Alan assumed a range of senior executive positions in Fuels Marketing, Lubricants and Specialties, Supply and Transportation and Corporate Planning.
In March 2006, Alan served as the Project Director of the National Petroleum Council’s Global Oil and Gas Study commissioned by the US Department of Energy.
In 2007, Alan became President of ExxonMobil’s Lubricants & Petroleum Specialties Company located in Fairfax, Virginia, and was elected as Vice President for the Corporation. He assumed his current position as President of the consolidated Fuels & Lubricants marketing company on February 1, 2012.
Within ExxonMobil, Alan is the Executive Champion of the Global Organization for the Advancement of Latinos (GOAL).
Alan is a member of the Board of Visitors of the Wake Forest University Business School and the Junior Achievement Worldwide Board of Governors.
Alan and his wife, Carol, make their home in Northern Virginia.
