John Allison on meeting with President-elect Trump

BB&T Center Executive-in-Residence John Allison met on the evening of Monday, November 28, with President-elect Donald Trump at Trump Tower in Manhattan. Mr. Allison was reportedly a candidate to be named as Secretary of the Treasury in the Trump Administration, though news sources have broadly reported John Mnuchin as the likely nominee.

The Monday evening meeting was reported by the Wall Street Journal, which issued a supportive editorial.

Mr. Allison appeared on FOX & Friends on Tuesday morning and discussed the meeting with Mr. Trump.

Mr. Allison has been an executive-in-residence with the BB&T Center at Wake Forest University since November 1, 2015. His main roles have been to mentor students, guest-lecture in classes, and give public lectures.
