Michele Hartle is the Program Coordinator for the Center for the Study of Capitalism at Wake Forest University. In her role, she coordinates and manages the Center’s programs to support both day-to-day program management and long-term strategy. Her responsibilities include program and project management, marketing and communication, and outreach.

Michele’s years of experience cover a wide range of both project management and administrative support. She previously worked as a freelance content creator and copy writer and volunteered for eight years at her church as the Children’s Program Director—spearheading a variety of initiatives. Michele graduated from California University of Pennsylvania (now PennWest California) with a bachelor’s degree in Foreign Languages and Literatures and earned her Secondary Teaching Certification from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania (now PennWest Edinboro). To advance her professional development, she has recently obtained the nationally recognized Certified Nonprofit Professional (CNP) credential through Nonprofit Leadership Alliance.

Currently, Michele serves on the Winston-Salem Theatre Alliance Board of Directors. Through this opportunity, Michele has attended workshops in diversity, equity, and inclusion with the Racial Equity Institute and leads the theatre’s new DEI committee.
